CBI official Balagopal (Renji Panicker) portrays the narrative of one of the most troublesome homicide examinations of his profession, in an intelligent meeting with a group of IPS freshers. The series of murders, which was named 'bin killings' was researched by the CBI group headed by Sethurama Iyer (Mammootty). How Iyer and his group addressed the case and exposed reality frames the essence of CBI 5: The Brain.
Direction:
SN Swamy, the author chief team have made the fifth portion that keeps the pith of the initial four pieces of the CBI establishment unblemished. The connecting first half which makes a viable development is trailed by a similarly intriguing final part, that keeps the crowd snared to the screen for the majority of its parts.
Despite the fact that there are minutes where the author chief team loses their grasp over the narrating, the story has returned to frame the following moment. The chief and essayist have utilized the sentimentality elements without limit, along these lines making the film a significant encounter for the crowd who know about the establishment.
Be that as it may, the tepid peak probably won't fulfill the watchers, who had exclusive standards after all the form ups. Despite the fact that the peak curve is great, it might have been organized significantly more really. Outstandingly, a few characters who are presented in the principal half of the film are in the long run neglected, in this manner leaving many last details. Likewise, the projecting of a portion of the female characters doesn't appear to be legit.
Performance
Mammootty, as always looks majestic as Sethurama Iyer. The megastar once again proves how consistent he is as an actor, by recreating the mannerisms and body language of Sethurama Iyer to near perfection. With the signature walking style and Tamil Brahmin slang in dialogues, Iyer still possesses the same old aura when he appears for the fifth time on the silver screen.
Jagathy Sreekumar makes a special appearance and gets the perfect tribute he deserves. His character Vikram is not included just for the nostalgia factor but plays an important part in the narrative. Saikumar once again shines as Sathyadas, the senior police officer who is corrupted to the core. The rest of the star cast, including Mukesh, Renji Panicker, Anoop Menon, Soubin Shahir, Kottayam Ramesh, Sudev Nair, Ramesh Pisharody, Asha Sarath, Kaniha, Ansiba Hassan, and others are good in their respective roles.
